An applicant for admission to the Applied Meteorology program must hold a bachelor's degree in a science discipline from a fully recognized four-year educational institution that has unconditional accreditation with appropriate regional accrediting agencies. An upper level course in Synoptic Meteorology (or equivalent) is required to begin the program of study.
Admission is based primarily on past performance, Statement of Purpose and letters of recommendation. Regular admission to graduate study in the Master of Geosciences program requires a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. The GRE is currently not required for admission into this program.
