The Master of Science in Instructional Technology (MSIT) degree is designed for educators or industry professionals who have interest in the effective use of instructional technology in educational and corporate settings. Choosing from three concentrations, instructional design, distance education, or multimedia, students develop up-to-date knowledge and hands-on experience of instructional materials for teaching and training.

The Master of Science in Instructional Technology has three concentrations:

Instructional Design


The instructional design concentration emphasizes the design, delivery, management, and evaluation of learner-centered instructional solutions in a variety of settings.

Distance Education


The distance education concentration emphasizes the application of distance learning theories and technologies to the design, delivery, and management of distance education.

Multimedia


The multimedia concentration applies multimedia learning theories to the design and development of learning solutions using cutting-edge multimedia software applications.

A portfolio documents your mastery of key skills from your courses. Since you will be compiling a portfolio as a part of the TKT 8793: Directed Project and Portfolio Development course at the end of your program of study, we strongly recommend that you save all the projects and assignments from your TKT courses.
